Kind Hearted Woman Cat

These is a design that Ann has been doing for several years now. During the depression, the hobos that traveled from place to place looking for work, food, and shelter had a shorthand that they would scratch on a fence, or somewhere else the new hobos coming up where sure to see. These were hard times, and a kind word and a warm meal meant the world to some of these people. The symbol on this plate of a cat, is the symbol hobos left to tell everyone after them that this house contains a “kind hearted woman” who would lend a generous hand. We all know women who fall in this category, or we ARE in this category.

This plate is great as a gift, a reminder of your worth, and how taking care of anyone comes back to us in amazing ways. Food safe, the plate is hand built by Ann, fired, glassed and re fired. These sell out quickly, so if you want one by Christmas, don’t wait too long.
