Pets can be a big part of a family unit, which is why it can be upsetting for many pet lovers who want to take their pets away with them. Putting them in kennels or with a sitter just doesn’t feel right when they should be with you, whether that’s on the beach or somewhere else!  Read this before you take your pet away with you and you should both have the most wonderful time:

  • Keeping Your Pet Calm While Travelling

First of all, you need to make sure you can keep your pet calm while travelling, especially if they’ve never travelled with you before. Whether you’re travelling via plane, car, or train doesn’t matter. What matters is that you have the tools necessary to keep them happy. Make sure you have treats and water, as well as any toys that will help them to feel at ease when they are away from home.Do thorough research on the company you plan on travelling with too, as some will allow pets on board while others will not.

  • Staying in A Pet-Friendly Hotel

Ensure that the hotel you’re staying in is pet-friendly. Check out their website and call them beforehand with any questions you may have to make sure you’ve chosen the right location for you and your beloved pet. Places like Stuttgart Marriott Hotel Sindelfingen pride themselves on the treatment of pets and their owners and will ensure the best possible stay for both parties. You shouldn’t cut corners when looking for the right place to stay, as you want to make sure that you and your pet have the best time imaginable.

  • Get Up To Date Vaccines And Boosters

If you’re travelling to a foreign country, you need to make sure that your pet is up to date with their vaccines and boosters. You’ll need proof of this or they won’t be able to travel, so don’t risk it! You’ll also need to make sure you plan this in advance, as it’ll usually be 21 days before they’re allowed to travel once the vaccines have taken place.

  • Pet Travel Insurance

If you want to make sure that you and your pet stay as safe as possible, you’ll both need travel insurance to cover you for anything that could happen. You want to be able to cover your pet for treatments while abroad – it isn’t something you want to consider, your pet falling ill or injured, but it can happen and you should make sure you’re as prepared as possible for it.

  • Do Your Research

Make sure you do your research on any illnesses in the area, just in case your pet becomes infected when you take them out exploring. This is something you should stay up to date with, as animal diseases and issues can spread quickly and suddenly. Read up right before you go!

Have an amazing time when you take your pet away with you, just make sure you pay attention to this advice!
