Description
The glaze on this platter contains chips of turquoise blue in a black glaze. In the kiln when the correct temperature is reached, the turquoise chips melt into a burst of gorgeous color. Hand made by Ann, it starts with natural clay shaped over a plaster bat, hardened and dried, fired, glazed, then fired again to obtain the beautiful black and turquoise finish.
