Cat & Bird Plate

Description

This is an interpretation of a Matisse painting that Ann chose to make into a ceramic platter. Started with natural clay, Ann rolls out a slab, presses it into a plate shape, lets it dry, fires it, then re-fires with glazes. It’s finished with room temperature glazes to polish the definition of the piece. The plate is 14 inches by 14 inches, and comes with hooks in the back for hanging. Great as a gift for the cat lover in your life, this plate represents peace, and the fact that gifts open the heart! Or, use it to decorate your own space at home or at work– this cat with the open heart is bound to change the vibration in your space.
